La intervención social en viviendas sociales en Andalucía

Abstract

This thesis is based on the results of the research carried out within the framework of the project "Socio-spatial Modeling of Social Intervention in Social Housing" (G-GI3002 / IDIP) whose main researcher is Dr. Octavio Vázquez Aguado of the Department of Sociology, Social Work and Public Health of the University of Huelva and in which the University Pablo de Olavide, the University of Cádiz, the University of Jaén, the University of Granada and the University of Málaga have been involucrated, and funded by the Ministry of Development and Housing of the Junta de Andalucía and the European Social Fund. The thesis aims to contribute to the knowledge and planning of social intervention in social housing in the public housing park of Andalusia, understanding social housing as a social service of general interest that requires a comprehensive approach to improving participation processes and social integration of the beneficiaries of these homes. For the satisfaction of this end, we made an approach to reality starting from a bibliographic analysis and a consultation with experts that will allow us to identify the factors that are imbricated in the adjudication, management and social intervention in these homes. This process of identification, together with the delimitation of the representative sample of the social housing developments on which the study is carried out, will constitute the basis for the methodological design of the research. In the chosen method, different techniques of data collection and analysis (mixed methods) are used to various stakeholders or interest groups in the study phenomenon such as tenants of social housing, community leaders of housing developments included in the sample and professionals with skills in social housing. In this approach lies one of the main contributions of the study, since it allows to approach the reality of these homes from a holistic perspective, allowing an integral knowledge of the social reality of the social housing and the management of the same. The obtained results, in addition to exposing the perception of the tenants on different elements that define the social reality of social housing promotions (SHP) such as social cohesion, social problems, satisfaction with housing and the environment, as well as incorporate the discourses of the professionals of the management of the SHP and the difficulties in their adjudication and follow-up, outline, from a method of analysis oriented to the strategic decision making based on a system of causal networks, main strategic lines for the reduction of the conflictivity and the improvement of the social coexistence and of the processes of participation in social integration of the people who benefit from these protected homes.
