Resumen

In this work we present some results of a recent appraisal of the seismic hazard in southeastern Spain in terms of Arias intensity. The main aim of this work is to show for a certain return period, which are the seismically triggered landslide prone areas in this region, from a probabilistic point of view. Also, for a certain location, the worst likely landslide category. This work is a first stage in a future process of landslide spatial prediction. As a significant result, for a return period of 475 years, we have obtained seismic hazard values above 0 .1 m/s for the Arias intensity in almost the Betic Cordilleras. This can be considered as a typical value of a region with moderate seismic hazard values. In the Granada Basin, for the same return period, we have obtained seismic hazard values of the order of 0.4 m/s for shallow soils and 0.3 m/s for deep soils.
