Zusammenfassung

Motivated by the exponential increase of Chinese students studying Spanish in the People’s Republic of China, this doctoral thesis seeks to contribute to the updating of studies in this area. After conducting an analysis of cultural identity in People’s Republic of China, with special emphasis on education, we present the current situation of Spanish studies in this country. After these two chapters we focus on the attitudes and beliefs of the Chinese university students and expose our experience in the classroom with this type of students, since they are the central axis of this study. To conclude, we present a teaching unit that takes into account the cultural analysis previously undertaken and we present the results obtained after working it with our students
