Resumen

Durante los meses de enero, febrero y marzo de 2018 se ha llevado a cabo la X campaña de trabajos por parte del Proyecto Qubbet el-Hawa de la Universidad de Jaén en la necrópolis de Qubbet el-Hawa en Asuán. En esta campaña se ha procedido a la excavación arqueológica y documentación histórica de los hipogeos y cámaras funerarias principales de las tumbas QH32 (Aku), QH34bb (Ii-Shemai), QH35n, QH33 y QH36 (Sarenput I). Las labores de excavación se han completado con el estudio de los artefactos y ecofactos. Aquí se presentan los resultados preliminares y los avances de las investigaciones de los análisis cerámicos, químicos, antracológicos, carpológicos, dendrocronológicos, arquitectónicos, epigráficos, de restauración, antropológicos, papirológicos, topográficos y cartográficos. Todos ellos importantes para reconstruir la historia de los habitantes del sur de Egipto y de la región de la Primera Catarata, así como para desentrañar la historia de la necrópolis, conocer su origen y el papel que desempeñaron las poblaciones del Primer Nomo del Alto Egipto y de la frontera de Nubia.
