Abstract

This article has two parallel conceptions: on the one hand, a description of the legal framework, with its competences, functions and desires, of the European Higher Education Area, a process that begins with the Declaration of the Sorbonne and that is consolidated and extended with the Bologna Declaration, in which European education ministers urged the European Union States to develop and implement the following actions in their countries: first, a comprehensive and comparable qualifications system to promote job opportunities and competitiveness international, and, second, establish a system of degrees based on educational levels. But at the same time, this work is a desperate attempt to shout to the world, not without understanding and describing, how is this system that moves in an accelerated way towards a neoliberal university, of and for the market, as well as the search for a more critical place for teachers who are involved in university education systems.
