Resumen

El trastorno de ansidad social (TAS) presenta una prevalencia alta entre la población infantil y juvenil. Son muchas las consecuencias negativas que conlleva este trastorno para el adecuado desarrollo social, emocional y conductual de los niños y jóvenes si no se detecata y se interviene adecuadamente. Entre los factores de riesgo se encuentran el estilo de crianza y las pautas de comunicación de los padres, apareciendo la Emoción Expresada (EE) como un indicador clave del entorno familiar. Los padres con alta EE muestran una excesiva sobreimplicación emocional, crítica y hostilidad. Al igual que sucede con otros tratornos, la presencia de alta EE en los padres se ha asociado con perores resultados en el tratamiento de sus hijos. En este sentido, se ha podido comprobar que añadir en el tratamiento un componente destinado a los padres que presentan alta EE, mejoran los resulados de la intervención en aquellos casos en los que los padres pasan de alta EE a baja EE, lo que apunta a que en estos casos se hace necesaria la participación de los progenitores. Esto pone sobre la mesa, la necesidad de evaluar la EE en los padres al tratar a sus hijos con TAS. En este sentido, ha sido crucial el desarrollo de medias breves y de fácil de administración. En el presente trabajo se revisa el estado de la cuestión y se describe un nuevo instrumento denominado Entrevista Estructurada de Emoción Expresada en Trastorno de Ansiedad Social
