Abstract
This work describes for first time a new outcrop of lamproites located in Los Bañuelos, between the municipal territories of Férez and Socovos (Albacete), which represent the westernmost known in the region. The found rocks are mainly pyroclastic or freatomagmatic flows that are intercalated between lacustrine sediments of upper Miocene age. Normally the rocks appear altered and carbonated. The remnants better preserved correspond to olivine lamproites with abundance of sedimentary xenoliths in a hypocrystalline groundmass. Their chemical composition is typical ultrapotassic, similar to other Spanish olivine lamproites.
