Résumé

A recurrence in the Upper Jurassic Ammonitico Rosso facies sequence of the External Subbetic is descríbed and interpreted as the deposition in the two blocks of an active jurassic fault, in account of the features assocíated to the fault plane and the fan morphology of bed sets. The present relief is considered a relict Jurassic topography generated in the rifting phase affecting the basin in the Middle Jurassic. These events caused a majar stratigraphic break occurríng at the top of the ooid limestones of the Middle Jurassic (Camarena Fm.).
