Abstract
Insider dealings are transactions in shares and other transferable securities by person who by virtue of their position posses price-sensitive information. Directive 2003/6/EU prohibits this conduct, but, it is going to be replaced in the near future by Regulation 596/2014/EU. Besides this, the new Directive 2014/57/EU encompasses penal sanctions.
