Résumé
In this paper main patents (1878-1966) registered at the Historical Archive of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism of the Government of Spain relating to mineral extraction phase are presented, specifically with solids removal and dewatering of mines. Particularly, the principles of operation and the main contributions of these patents are analyzed for a historical overview of the late nineteenth and mid twentieth centuries. This original and unpublished research is within a project of fundamental research granted by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness at the University of Jaen, and covers a fundamental objective about the state of the art on Spanish inventions related to mineral extraction phase.
