A laboratory precision system for advanced ceramic tape casting was developed. The system allowed to obtain ceramic sheets whit controlled and reliable thickness from > 10 |im to several millimetres. The doctor blade carried displacement was maintained continuous and without vibration in a wide range of speeds. The micrometric adjusts guarantee the flatness and the smoo thness of the sheets. By this technique advanced ceramics as substrates, controlled coatings, multilayer ceramic structures and functionally gradient ceramics can be performed.
