Abstract
In recent years several laws on transparency of political activities have been adopted in order to control the political corruption which emerges as a consequence, among other, of the lack of efficient control mechanisms for the political party funding. The Spanish law on transparency, public access to information and good governance approved in 2012 faces several challenges in this regard, especially if it will not be accompanied on the one hand by a clear will for its implementation, as well as, on the other hand, by the necessary reforms related to the political party funding.
