Resumen

Se presenta una revisión de los programas de intervención familiar en esquizofrenia realizados desde principios de la década de los 80 y que se basan en la teoría de la vulnerabilidad a la esquizofrenia de Zubin y Spring (1977) y (casi todos) en el constructo de Emoción Expresada. El objetivo de todos ellos es la reducción del estrés familiar (concretamente de la Emoción Expresada, en la mayoría de ellos) para así tratar de evitar la recaída. Se revisan los estudios de Ventura, Camberwell, California, Hamburgo, Pittsburgh, Salford, Sydney, Birmingham y Andalucía.
