Abstract

The results after two years of monitoring of the study in Andalusia are presented, a program of family intervention in schizophrenia based on the reduction of the Expressed Emotion, the decrease of family stress and the increase of knowledge on the part of the relatives, that showed its effectiveness after one year monitoring. Twenty five families participate (an experimental death of 4% over the first year of monitoring. The relapse rate in the experimental group is 0% versus 40% in the control group. Therefore it is verified that the effectiveness of the program stands for two years. Also, the data of this study are compared with those of other family intervention programs in schizophrenia reporting on monitorings for two years.
