Résumé
Due to the deep process of change in which the retail banking sector is involved, the development of remote banking is one of the main strategies this sector should take account. Asa result of the limited use of some traditional electronic banking systems in Spain, such as automate teller machines (ATMs), the aim of this paper is to analysethe way internet banking is developing in this country at present. Results show that the insufficient demand on the part of customer has forced firms to restate their strategies over internet banking.
