Abstract

The initial training of Secondary Education teachers is in doubt for a long time. If the appearance of the Educational Aptitude Course (CAP) in the seventies meant an advance in the understanding of the access to the teaching, the passage of time has made evident the fact that this system is out of step with today's world and the inability of the education authorities to apply new forms of training to teachers who must be qualified to face up to very varied and multicultural pupils. In this article, in which we take into account the state orders, we analyse all these problems. We start from an investigation that was carried out with the CAP pupils and we carry out some proposals to the involved sectors for helping to improve the quality of the teachers training of the Secondary Education.
