Zusammenfassung

Due to the deep impact of emerging technologies on our daily life, it is necessary to update and deploy new educational contents in the subjects of any teaching level in a continuous way, under the difficulty of adhering to curricula and ordinances fixed by criteria that are renewed less frequently than technology advances do. To solve this difficulty, the use of specific sessions with Problem Based Learning (ABP) within general subjects is proposed. This allows to transfer and relate concepts of the subject within an emerging technology. In addition, in order to increase the attention of the students to their own proposals, an evaluation based on gamification is proposed as partially developed by the ABP groups. This work includes the results of the implementation of this ABP sessions on an emergent concept as it is the Internet of Things in two graduate master's degrees: Land Transportation and Logistics Engineering as well as Mechatronics Engineering.
