Abstract
The aim of this study is to go deeply in the differential profile of adolescent who have been reported for child-to-parent abuse and young who commit other types of offenses in psychosocial variables like consume of substances, peer group and school (schooling, disruptive behavior and academic performance). For that reason, 1046 judicial files on young offenders from the Juvenile Justice Service in Jaén were examined, from 2001 until 2010. Of which, 392 were excluded by not being initiated. The results reveal a differential profile of adolescent reported for child-to-parent violence compared to young who commit other types of offenses in previous history of consumption of substances, type of drugs, peer groups and disruptive behavior in classroom. However, there are not significant differences between both groups in schooling and academic performance. This differential analysis is important in order to design specific prevention and intervention strategies.
