Abstract

Abstract. Remigio del Mármol Cobo-Rincón (Alcalá la Real, 1758 - Priego de Córdoba, 1815) constituted the last link of the school that was founded by Francisco Hurtado Izquierdo (Lucena, 1669 - Priego de Córdoba, 1725) in the late Seventeenth Century and early Eighteenth Century, and he became into the connection towards the new Nineteenth Century through a transition for new stylistic concepts of his time, as those called ¿new style historicisms-. He made an effort for applying the theory of the eclecticism and supported all his work in a continuous experimenting, with investigations based on the functionalism and the organic art which have persisted to nowadays.
