Abstract
The objective of this research has been to increase the well-being of older people who receive training in Autobiographical Memory, Gratitude, Forgiveness and Sense of Humor. The results showed a significant increase in subjective happiness, satisfaction with life, self-acceptance, dominance of the environment, personal growth, the purpose of life, specific positive memories and gratitude, as well as a significant reduction of Depression. The effects were maintained over time but not in the same way in all variables. Specifically, the effects of the intervention were maintained until after one year of the same except in the case of the Self-acceptance and the Purpose of life in which this effect disappeared at three months and in Subjective Happiness and Dominion of the environment that is Only remaineduntil six months.
