Resumo

The aim of this work is the study of the botflies that causes myiasis in the Iberian ibex from the Sierra Nevada Natural Park (Spain). There are several unknown aspects related to the life cycle and the demographics of these parasites. In addition, it might be included the larvae identification problem based on morphological characters. On this work we make three approaches to the study of the species that causes myiasis in the Iberian ibex: a) a larvae III culture was conducted in the laboratory to determine some aspects related to its development; b) we have developed a model of dynamics system to predict the behavior of their life cycle; c) we have performed a molecular analysis of two molecular markers (COI and 28S rDNA) to determine whether larvae that parasitize the Iberian ibex belong or not to the Oestrus ovis species.
