Abstract

The main objective of this Thesis is focused on the presentation of secure network interconnection solutions by defining the design, structure and functionality of the electric protection measurements of interconnection systems of a compact multiterminal DC node used to feed EVCSs. The literature/details about regulatory review has revealed that has not been paid special attention to the security of interconnected nodes in similar systems. Likewise, neither it has characterized the behavior of electrical variables for internal node to node failures of this type (based on reversible converters). Getting to know such behavior is key to defining suitable electrical protection requirements to ensure safety. Thus, it has been defined an unified regulatory framework for electrical protection requirements and an earthing system arrangement applicable to network interconnection of the compact multiterminal DC node.
