Abstract
This thesis has focused his interest to know to what extent parental actions and interactions that parents and children remain within the family, may be linked to the adoption and adherence to physical and mentally healthy behaviors of children. On the other, it aims to explore the association between the use of both active video games and various psychological variables such as academic in children and adolescents. The results suggest that: a) the attribution of a high transformational parental style is associated with greater resistance, strength, coordination, appearance and perceived general physical self-concept. b) Active video games that involve movement are associated with the increase in physical activity levels so that they are linked to the improvement in cardio-respiratory capacity and decrease in body fat percentage.
