Abstract

This research deals with the study of the life and work of the artist and musical composer Juan Amador Jiménez (1903 - 1973), a native of Alcalá de los Gazules, Cádiz. Specifically, a biographical study of the author is made and an inventory of the musical documentary legacy of scores that are preserved for the period of 1930 and 1950. In turn, is a significant score, entitled "Armenia", based on the which is a comparative international study according to international musical influences between Colombia and Spain. The results are directed to the biography of the composer for this period, the inventory of documentary legacy of the author's scores, the musical influences between Colombia and Spain and the patrimonial artistic-musical values of Juan Amador's legacy
