Resumen

The following Doctoral Thesis is a study that reflects on teaching bassoon fingerings in Spain. This subject raises great interest among the professionals of this instrument, partly because there is no consensus on the use of standardized fingerings. Likewise, there are no homogeneous criteria on the competences that students should acquire, which not only affects how the instrument is taught and learned but also conditions the professional development of the bassoonists. Through a methodology of qualitative research in which the interview and the analysis of documents are used, this study aims to contribute to training competent professional bassoonists capable of handling the conceptual elements necessary to reflect and understand their teaching practice, providing methodological tools that help to improve the teaching-learning process of the bassoon from the study of fingerings.
