Resum

Falls have become a major economic and social problem for the world's population, due to the consequences they generate from the point of view of health and the cost of medica! and social care. The World Health Organization, in its fact sheet 344 of January 2018, identifiesfalls as the second leading cause of death associated with unintentional injuries worldwide. This research has been carried out as a succession of implementations, concretized in six publications, applying two programs on falls, based on the adaptation of technical elements of traditional Judo, to the specific characteristics and needs of risk populations (children and adults-elderly). Therefore, the objective of this research is to contribute to the increase of the safety of the target population, sthroughthe reduction of the risks associated to the consequences and sequels produced by the falls.
