Resumo

The main reason for the analysis and foundation of this Doctoral Thesis has been to contribute to improving the different aspects related to the Quality of Life through Emotional Intelligence, life satisfaction and dispositional optimism of people with Intellectual Disability of a specific Occupational Day Center, as well as the professionals who work in the context of organizations that serve the collective. The sample consisted of 15 people with Intellectual Disability (n=15), with an average age of 34.93 years (±12.28) and average disability of 64.07%, and 59 professionals (n=59), with an average age of 38.59 years (±10,359). The following instruments were used: Trait Meta Mood Scale 24 (TMMS 24), Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQi-C), INICO-FEAPS Scale, Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) and Life Orientation Test Revised (LOT-R). Finally, a sociogram was developed.
