Abstract

Low-back pain is a complex but common syndrome among the general population. It affects social activities, work, and economic status, with a financial cost in underdeveloped countries of between 1.7% and 2.1% of total GNP. The objective of this study was to determine the short-term effects of a modified Flexion-Distraction (FD) technique in comparison with a high-velocity low-back spinal manipulation (HVLA-SM) protocol on patients suffering from chronic lowback pain (CLBP).
