Abstract
In Spain, the incorporation of Social Health Work in Primary Health Care occurred in 1984, with the promulgation of Royal Decree 137/84, of 11 January, on basic health structures, in order to contribute to the comprehensive care of the health of the population by addressing the socio-cultural aspects that influence it, by promoting the self-determination of individuals, groups and communities to become active subjects in their own process of achieving better health levels. This thesis studies the situation of the professionals of Social Work of Primary Health Care in Andalusia, their opinion about the context in which they carry out their work, difficulties they encounter in order to carry out their work in an appropriate manner and aspects that they consider should improve itself, showing, likewise, its contribution in the attainment of a comprehensive and integrated health care.
