Abstract

Neuromuscular Electricalestimulatión (EMS) consisting of application of an electrical current to the muscle to obtain a contraction, began to be used for Kots in the training of strength. Since then several authors had studied the ideal parameters of current, though without giving him too much importance to the order of application of the EMS and the voluntary exercise. The aim of this paper was to analyzed the order of application of the EMS and plyometric and the frequency of current applied to develop the suitable protocols that improve every component of the strength at different types of vertical jump and speed. After the application of several combinations of training (8 weeks) there was obtained that to improve the vertical jump the most suitable thing is to used high frequencies of current followed by voluntary exercise, and that in case of the speed the best combination was the simultaneity of both technologies.
