Democracia, ciudadanía y socialización política en una sociedad agrariael republicanismo en Jaén (1849-1923)

Abstract

Analysis of the process of political socialization of the masses in the province of Jaén, and also of the building of democracy and citizenship, and all of that starting from the republican movement, which made up a new political culture in the province: Republican, interclass and secular, opposed to the monarchical, classist, catholic and conservative Spain, and covering the period from 1849, the year in which the Spanish Democratic Party is constituted, and 1923, when the dictatorship of Primo de Rivera was proclaimed, fact that led to a break with historical republicanism.
