In addition to a prolific output of paintings, Salvador Dalí developed an intense literary work covering virtually all genres: essay novel poetry script libretto etc. This work deals with the parallel analysis of seven paintings and seven poems by this author, some of them considered by the criticism like real masterpieces, whose common genesis makes them paradigm of the compared studies between painting and poetry. To this end, the research runs through different periods and artistic movements, from futurism, machinery or ultraism in the first decades of the 20th century, up to the Manifiesto Místico of the 1950s, without fogetting the influencial surrealist stage. From all this, conclusions are drawn to establish common action lines both in poetry and painting over the years of most fertile creativity of Salvador Dalí
