Iconografía de San Miguel en la Diocesis de Baeza, Jaén.

Abstract

This thesis is a systematic study of implementation Saint Michael Archangel´s cult in the territory the old kingdom of Jaen (actual Baeza-Jaen´s diocese) since the Crhistian conquest to the present, iconographic manifestations watching and studying us. This method is an approach to research iconological without denying cultural dimensions, economic, devotionals and property of the study´s object, in this case the Saint Michael´s figure. We bring a catalog iconographic, this will help future research. Also attached a documentary appendix, it serves to the consultation document related to the topic, they are very varied backgrounds archives, also combine general studies and monographs of origin and different scientific fields.
