Zusammenfassung

Moors and Christian festivals represent an illustrative and unique world not only characteristic of Spain's History and Geography but also of its society, politics and even economic system . Taking into consideration its hybrid nature, my present essay focuses on diverse social, politic , cultural, educational, religious and military contexts of Spanish society throughoutthe centuries to the present day. This dissertation will be based on a "cultural " education anthropology, in which education is considered as a socialization and cultural transmission agent along with its interaction with distinct elements of human groups and their behavioural patterns, norms and values. As a matter of fact there is an educational sense within these popular festivals as long as it reflected two core aspects that had to be assimilated: Christian Catholic Church 's strength and the real social order. That being so we can give meaning to present time where its complexity is derived from diverse facts, occurrences, elements, objects and participants sometimes even including antagonistic features (nationalism and assimilation , localism and regionalism together with Spain's everlasting struggle between good and evil). Subsequently these traditional celebrations transmits casualness and ease to anything or anybody staying or coming close to, which provides Moors and Christian festivals with distinctive vitality.
