Abstract

Aging is one of the fundamental causes that can produce a hip fracture , osteoporosis , lack of balance and risk of falls , make the rate of this disease occurs in 90% of those over 65 years. Hip fracture can affect ali areas of functionality of the elderly; intended to recover the old capacity it had before the fracture to walk , independence to perform basic activities of daily living and instrumenta l activities, restore the situation of the march, nutritional status and quality of life health-related . Deterioration or functional recovery of patients with hip fracture surgery in a Neurotraumatológico Hospital, under review between 90 and 100 days after hospital discharge with the same parameters chosen for the study was investigated.The most relevant results indicated that the deterioration in Barthel index were statistically significant differences in age, urea, after fracture complications , readmissions and taking antiplatelet medication
