Resumen

Study conducted in a population aged over 65 years in which different comprehensive health programs have been experimented for six months on three homogeneous groups as a significant sample from a 7200 inhabitants population in a town in the province of Seville. The study analyzes physical parameters (weight, height and BMI), physiological signs (Blood pressure and pulse), biochemistry (glucose, urea and cholesterol) and bioelectrical impedance (skin resistance) in addition to psychological questionnaires (about perceived stress levels and quality of life) and modification in the habit of taking medication. The best results in all the variables studied were observed in the group where the program called “Gim-Sintergia” was carried out, the set of tradicional medicine techniques and diet in comparison with the treatment and tradicional diet group; however both groups showed better results than the control group.
