Laburpena

The Barrio La Camelia, in Pachuca, Hidalgo (Mexico), is the context in which were interviewed twelve women heading households with the intention of them visible, so that the dialogy is used to present the analysis of the information collected and speeches of them are the most important to the thesis. It is observed that from childhood to the present, women have lived daily inequalities and exclusions in different areas with those have relationship, however, as part of a process of empowerment, are gradually transforming notions with which they were educated them and oppose heteronormative codes and to differentiated gender roles and the exercise of power and violence. In parallel, they strengthen the autonomy among their descendants and develop more democratic relations within households they lead.
