Autoeficacia de búsqueda como mediadora de la inteligencia emocional y la búsqueda activa de empleo

Resumen

Este estudio analiza el papel de la autoeficacia para la búsqueda de trabajo como posible variable mediadora en la relación entre la inteligencia emocional (IE) y la búsqueda activa de empleo en una muestra de 196 desempleados andaluces, 107 hombres y 89 mujeres, de 18 a 59 años de edad (M = 30.90; DT = 8.07). Todos cumplimentaron una escala de IE, una medida de autoeficacia de búsqueda y otra de búsqueda activa de empleo, junto con sus datos socio-demográficos. Como se esperaba, la IE se relacionó positivamente con mayores niveles de autoeficacia para la búsqueda, así como con mayores niveles de búsqueda activa de empleo. Además, los análisis de mediación indicaron que la IE tenía un efecto significativo indirecto (a través de la autoeficacia) sobre la búsqueda activa de empleo. Se discuten los resultados para su aplicación en futuros programas de orientación profesional
