Abstract

The thesis researches teacher�s learning through teachers� collaborative work, understood as educational situations linked with their work. The main aim of the study is to know the experience of a group of teachers from municipal schools from the Metropolitan Region of Chile. Socio-cultural conditions in which teachers build their everyday knowledge in their primary schools are considered, the type of knowledge they exchange and create, its characteristics according to their kind of work being individual or collaborative with other teachers, the possibilities teachers recognise in the constructions of shared knowledge and those of their own with other techers of the same school, and the consequences derived from their first education degree and continuous education in the Chilean Primary Education System. This is a qualitative research based on the interpretative paradigm, using interviwes and group discussion thecniques. Data collection uses the questionnaire, the interview and group discussion following the scientific discipline to achive validity and confiability trust in the research. A total of 158 people participated in it.
