Abstract

Based on the analysis of Fiestas de la boda de la incansable malcasada (1622) —a work by Alonso Jerónimo mostly unnoticed by critics—, this article delves into the loss of influence of short novellas in metafictional collections. The typology of this framework (novella) is highlighted, as well as its suitability for the interpolation in it of different literary second-grade metrafictional materials.
