Abstract
Has been studied pure CO2 absorption by binary mixtures of aqueous alkanolamine solutions (MIPA-TEA, DIPA-TEA), in a stirred tank reactor operates intermittently with respect to the gas and liquid phases, and a bubble column, being variables operation: concentration, varying the proportions of mixed (100/0, 75/25, 50/50, 25/75, 0/100), and the temperature between 288-313 K, except for the column was operated at 298 K. Stirred tank, the results provide insight into the possible presence of thermal effects, the rate of reaction and to propose ways of determining the kinetic rate constant as a function of temperature. In bubble column, the results allow to determine the diameters of the bubbles, retention of CO2 in mixtures, the mass transfer coefficients for liquid phase. Similarly, studies conducted by NMR speciation, have facilitated know the stoichiometry of the reactions between CO2 and alkanolamines.
