Resumen

For decades, the internationalization process has been identified as a process model defined by the Scandinavian or Uppsala model, whereby companies directed their international activities toward countries psychologically less distanced from themselves. Nevertheless, since the rise of globalization as a phenomenon, different internationalization processes on the part of companies can be observed. Thus, the main goal of this research lies in the analysis of the internationalization process strategy measured against the International Priority Index to analyze the speed of this process according to the possession or control of certain managerial resources and capabilities by the companies. The results show that certain managerial capabilities are more closely linked with a higher gradual and progressive process of internationalization.
