Abstract

Postgraduate students at Spanish universities must complete a master’s Thesis to obtain their degree. In some cases, these students must carry out this research work without having completed related training or, following the traditional approach, having taken only one subject related to research methodologies. The present study is based on the application of Research-Based Learning, in which, through a series of innovative teaching actions that are developed throughout the academic year of the Master, students integrate research transversally. This study has been applied to a postgraduate course at the University of Jaén and the results allow us to verify how, after the application of the ABI methodology, the average grades and the number of students who defend their master’s Thesis have increased.
