Abstract
This article proposes an approach to feminism from a socio-historical point of view, where our analysis is limited to investigating the conditioning factors that have determined the evolution of the role played by women from prehistory to the present day, in the context of the emergence of the movement, with the aim of offering an educational perspective on human rights, gender equality and the impact of the patriarchal model at different times in history, including the present time. Through a bibliographical review, concepts and approaches aimed at reducing and eradicating the androcentric model are addressed, drawing conclusions about equality in the field of human rights and the establishment of more equitable gender roles in a culture of respect in today's society.
