Abstract

The presentation of this research highlights the economic and cultural caracter of both the production and consumption of olive oil at Andalusian and national level, hence the basic concepts analysed throughout this doctoral thesis, such as marketing strategies, innovation, sustainability and internationalisation from the perspective of both supply and demand. This transversal analysis has made it possible to analyse the barriers and problems encountered by olive oil mills and olive oil producing cooperatives when marketing their products.
